I Act Better
I grew up in the north of Holland, where I was born to an English father and a Dutch mother. There, I began acting with a director whose motto was: "Just Play".
I studied acting in Amsterdam with an emphasis on film acting.
In 2014, I was given the opportunity to study at East 15 Acting School and I graduated from there in 2017.
After performing in Jon Fosse's 'Girl In Yellow Raincoat', at the Tristan Bates Theatre in 2017, which was directed by Simon Usher, I have done regular workshops and readings with his theatre company, 'Presence Theatre'.
Including a reading with Simon Stephens
I produced and acted in a production of Ved Sapru's 'Moonstruck' at the Ovalhouse Theatre, directed by Michael Grieser Johns.
As an actor, I enjoy most methodologies, but I particularly enjoy working in a close relationship with the writer. I find that working with writers helps me more closely study the structure, and determine the function of the character within the piece. This enables me to make clear choices for the character that fits within a context, in order to help bring a story to life.
